Bite XVIII:ssä esiintyi norjalainen elävä legenda Mortiis, ensimmäisellä keikallaan Oulussa! Vanha suippokorva on valloittanut goottipiirejä uudella loistavalla levyllään The Smell of Rain, jolla Mortiis siirtyi yllättäen vanhoista "dark dungeon music"-tunnelmistaan darkwave-henkiseen, tanssittavaan mutta tummasävyiseen goottikonepoppiin. Keikka oli varmaankin kovatasoisin Biteissä nähty: kahden kitaran ja liverumpujen voimin esiintyneen Mortiisin soundi oli hieman aggressiivisempi kuin levyllä, ja saikin 370-päisen yleisön suorastaan villiintymään. Uuden materiaalin puutteessa keikka jäi tosin hieman lyhyeksi, mutta ei makeaa mahan täydeltä... Koetamme saada vielä julkaistua kuvia Mortiisin keikasta.
